Refuge
Where do you go when the world seems against you and everything in your life is falling apart?  Where do you turn when all is not well and your enemies are pursuing you?  David’s response to those situations was to turn to the Lord.  The truth that he had in his heavenly Father was not short of all encompassing.  The reason he was called “a man after God’s own heart” had nothing to do with his failures but with his constant humility and submission to the Lord.  Regardless of the circumstances he faced and the difficulties that lay ahead, he knew that he could turn to the Lord as his place of refuge.
