An Unstoppable Force (Job 40-42)

I love what Job says about God in 42:2, "'I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.'"  The truth is that God is an unstoppable force, and there is nothing that you or I can do to get in His way or to keep Him from accomplishing His purposes here on earth.  That also means that there is nothing the Enemy can do to thwart God's plans, either.

The account of Job began with Satan speaking with God about Job.  God gave Satan permission to test Job, but it was only within the confines of what God allowed.  Satan did not have free reign because ultimately God is an unstoppable force, and whatever He desires will be reality.

That's good to know, isn't it?  I like knowing that God holds everything in His hands because that means nothing is random or by accident.  God's purposes will prevail in the end.
