Sometimes I read through stories like the wall of Jericho tumbling down and fail to actually think through what went on when this took place. Veggie Tales did a really good job of helping me think between the lines of the text. I can only begin to imagine what the people of Jericho were thinking as they saw the Israelites marching around their city. Veggie Tales depicts the scene by having French peas throwing slurpies at the Israelites. I'm sure that's not really what happened, but no doubt they were taunted by their opposition. I guess sometimes following God looks ridiculous to onlookers, but that can't stop us from doing what God calls us to do. And sometimes what God calls us to do is really a process of refinement for us wherein we learn to trust in and rely on Him more and more.
