This morning as I was reading through Galatians I was reminded of a message I heard about ten years ago when I was a counselor at a kid' camp for my church. The speaker was talking about how when Christ lives in us He also works through us and enables us to do things that we can't otherwise do on our own. For instance, yesterday I saw someone who had really hurt my feelings about four years ago. I tried to seek reconciliation with this person but it didn't quite happen the way it should have. Yesterday when I saw him I was reminded of his hurtful words from so long ago, and I was challenged with the need to not hold anything against him. I know that I need to forgive, but why is it so hard to do so? This morning in Galatians God challenged me to allow Christ in me to forgive this person. I don't seem to be capable of doing it myself, but Christ in me IS capable of doing so. What a relief! If it weren't for Christ living in and through me I would be lost in this situation and many others.
