The Eyes of the Lord (1 Kings 15:1-24; 2 Chronicles 13-16)

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. (2 Chronicles 16:9b)

Have you ever wondered if God knows about your situation?  Have you ever wondered if He has abandoned you and is uninterested in your life?

The eyes of the Lord are watching to give support to those people whose hearts are blameless toward the Him.

If you’ve ever thought you were alone or that God didn’t see your situation, you thought wrong.  If you ever did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and felt that He wasn’t coming to your defense, you thought wrong.  God is aware, and He cares.  And in His time and in His way, He is a strong support for those whose hearts are turned toward Him.

Father, remind us today that Your eyes are on those who are fully committed to You and that You strengthen them by Your might.  Let me rest in that promise when circumstances become challenging and when it appears that Your presence is missing.
