HS Winter Retreat Update

January 18, 2008 By Seth Leave a Comment

Well, we made it to Chicago late last night for the first evening of our High School Winter Retreat.  Grant As a part of this retreat we asked the students to fast from food for 24 hours.  Last night Wes Coker taught us about fasting and the theological and pratical reasons for doing so.  Needless to say the students are getting pretty hungry.  8:30 AM CST is the time for breakfast, and I'm sitting here waiting for everyone to arrive.  We have a busy day of practicing lectio divina and scripture meditation as well as visiting Navy Pier, the Shedd Aquarium, and Ed Debevik's.  Pictured here is Grant McAdams, one of my suite-mates on the trip.
