In the beginning (Luke 1; John 1:1-14)

March 8, 2008 By Seth Leave a Comment

After 400 years of silence, God finally spoke.  I love the opening words of John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  This Jesus who is about the enter the stage of world history wasn't anyone new; His existence was from the start.  How is that possible?  Because He's God.  He was not created – He just always was, is, and will be.  For the first time ever God was going to make Himself known to people by wrapping Himself in flesh and coming into the world in the most unlikely way ever imaginable.  Light has come to the world.  Hallelujah!
