What is ADVENTURE?

September 29, 2009 By Seth Leave a Comment

Last January I was traveling back from my first trip to Brazil, and I had a layover in the Sao Paulo airport.  As I was sitting in the waiting area for the flight to board, I noticed a young man who was crying.  I'm not talking about a few tears streaming down his face; I literally mean this kid was sobbing uncontrollably.  Interestingly enough, I had ... ADVENTURE

September 28, 2009 By Seth Leave a Comment

People who have spent time around me over the past few months have heard me talk a lot about the idea of ADVENTURE.  It has been a common theme of 2009 for me, and that's why I decided to use the word as the title to the new site.  In a nutshell, I believe that God wants to take each one of us on an ADVENTURE.  As I read through the Bible, every ... And Sunday is over…

September 27, 2009 By Seth Leave a Comment

I don't know about you, but Sunday is the highlight of my week.  I look forward to seeing people whom I only see every once in a while, and I get to teach God's Word to junior high and high school students.  This evening we concluded a series on prayer.  I remember hearing some quote that said something to the effect of: when you get to the end of ... June 30, 2009 By Seth Leave a Comment

Well, we were sitting on the plane, waiting to go to Atlanta, and there was a mechanical problem.  So we're stuck in Indianapolis for the night.  Delta was able to rebook us on an American Airlines flight tomorrow that will get us to Recife, Brazil on Thursday morning.  Thanks for your prayers, and we'll keep you all posted regarding the ... Legacy

June 5, 2009 By Seth Leave a Comment

This summer is off to a fast start!  We just returned yesterday from our annual High School Retreat.  This year we traveled to Beulah Beach Christian Camp and Retreat Center in Vermilion, Ohio.  I think this was the best HS Retreat we have ever had.  The theme, "Free Fall," tied well into the sessions, and we started the week off at Cedar ...
