Now don't get me wrong, I'm not in any way a believer in the concept of karma. However, when Solomon took over the kingship of Israel there were some people who faced consequences for their actions. Solomon's half-brother, for instance, paid dearly for his efforts to take the throne. Others who had been a part of David's leadership team also faced consequences of disloyalty to the King. The truth of the matter is that choices do carry consequences, and in each of these situations, the men who lost their lives behaved in a foolish way. That's why it's so important to pause and think about the consequences before we make decisions. Will you want to live with the outcome? For every action there is a reaction, and the wise person understands this before he chooses.
