I just found a new favorite person in the Bible, and I'll add him to my list of others. I have read about Hezekiah before, but I don't think I ever really looked at him with much depth. His quality of leadership is worth emulating because Hezekiah used his position for the purpose of bringing the nation back to a recognition of and commitment to the Lord. For Hezekiah, his position wasn't about him; it was about God. He didn't point people to himself; He pointed people to the Lord. Hezekiah believed it was more important for the nation of Israel to return to God than it was for him to be remembered as a great leader. Those are the characteristics of a true spiritual leader.
