Gifted for a purpose (Exodus 31-32)

September 11, 2007 By Seth Leave a Comment

One of the things I really liked about this reading was the description of Bezalel who was filled with the "Spirit of God" and gifted with the ability to make artistic designs.  My Life Group had our first gathering tonight, and we discussed the idea of giftedness in the Church and the importance of people using their gifts.  It's really neat that Bezalel had specific gifts to be used for the purpose of making the tabernacle beautiful.  Each person has gifts from the Spirit, and those gifts should be used for the benefit of the Church.  In fact, Paul teaches that the Church misses out when those gifts aren't freely given.  Are you holding anything back from the Church?  Or do you generously give with those things in which the Lord has gifted you?
