It’s not your strength (Judges 20-21)

October 18, 2007 By Seth Leave a Comment

I really like the description made of 700 of the warriors from Gibeah: among these 700 who were left handed, every one could sling a stone at a hair without missing.  That’s incredible accuracy.  With accuracy like that, no army could stand a chance.  Too bad it doesn’t come down to our might.  I know I’ve written about this before, but it’s a recurring theme that must be considered.  Ultimately, God will do as He desires no matter how difficult it seems to everyone else.  We have to be careful not to rest too much on our own strength because these incredible warriors didn’t survive in the end.  Almighty God is capable of incredible things, and He doesn’t need our strength to accomplish them.
