Have you ever wondered how a person might know that you're a Christian (if, in fact, you claim to be one)? It doesn't come down to whether or not you boycott Disney or the latest corporation with poor values. It doesn't matter if you avoid going to movies and make sure that there is no media in your home. It doesn't come down to wearing a tie or a dress to church on Sunday or giving a tract to your server at lunch instead of a monetary tip. What it does come down to is how much you love other people. Jesus was clear when He said, "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." All of these other things don't really matter if we don't have love. That's why the Apostle Paul said that the spiritual gifts don't really matter if there isn't love attached to them. Love is the Gospel message, and it was the action of our Lord, who sacrificed Himself out of love so we could be made right with God. What an incredible message! Are you living out that message with your life?
