The Value of Prayer (2 Thessalonians)

Have you spent much time considering the value of prayer?  If you’re anything like me, when an averse situation arises, sometimes prayer is the last thing I turn to.  Often I talk to my friends, or seek the advice of someone older and wiser.  But prayer?  Sometimes I forget.  The challenge for us, though, is that Paul emphasized the importance of prayer when he asked the church at Thessalonica to be in prayer for them.  Paul understood the value that prayer has.  When we pray, we declare our confidence in the Lord and in His ability to strengthen us for the task at hand.  How is your prayer life?  Do you turn to God in your times of need?  Do you turn to Him when others you know are in times of need?  The Apostle Paul believed that prayer makes a difference.

Thank you, Seth. This helps me stop thinking of all the silly stuff I worry about and focus on what is really important.
