Which Road? (Deuteronomy 17:14-20; 19; 29-30)

Two-roads-diverged1

In this portion of Deuteronomy, Moses reminds the Israelites that there is really just one major choice in life, and that one choice has two options.  The first option is to follow the Lord, to obey His commands, and to live for His honor.  The second option is to become like the neighboring, pagan nations.  The second option offers unbelievable consequences, and the first option offers unbelievable benefits.  History tells us that, for the most part, Israel chose the second option.  The nation chose the pain and punishment that comes from walking in the opposite direction from God.  The same is true for us today.  You have two roads: one offers blessing, and the other offers pain.  Which road will you take?
