Willow Creek, Jamba Juice, and Prayer

January 20, 2008 By Seth 1 Comment

hWe went to Willow Creek for church today, and they taught about racial issues that need to be addressed by Christians.  I was told that the service was different from the norm, but it was good experience nonetheless.  Other highlights of the day included visiting Jamba JuiceJamba_juice and Ikea.  This evening Wes taught us about prayer, and we were challenged to recite the following prayer for about 20 minutes: "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner."  Wes taught us that sometimes we speak too much with God and that prayer also includes listening.  We had some free time this evening to go to the pool and hot tub and to play cards.  Overall, it was another great day.  Now it's off to bed because we have to get up VERY early tomorrow.
