One of the most incredible realities for Christians is the promise found in the Bible that those who trust in Jesus' death for the forgiveness of their sins benefit from the Holy Spirit moving into their lives. Paul reminded the Corinthians of this very truth: "You are God's temple and… God's spirit dwells in you." That's a pretty amazing concept and one that shouldn't be taken too lightly. Followers of Jesus have the benefit of God living in them, helping them, and directing them. Now that we have that understood, I'm curious to ask what kind of home you have made for the Holy Spirit in your heart. Once He comes in, He does start to clean things up a bit, but you have some control over the situation, too. How is your heart? Does it contain bitterness or anger? Does it contain jealousy or greed? Is it full of selfishness? What kind of home does the Holy Spirit find in your heart? After all, if you're trusting in Christ for your salvation, then your heart truly is God's home.
I beleive your comment on God as it is written that God living on the inside of those who beleive in our Lord Jesus Christ is absolutely right. The problem with most people they still in old Testament thinking, The are still going in the Temple the result is missing the point of where God is inside of every beleiver of our Lord and Savior who lives inside us.
I am looking for a short commentary about the different rooms in our hearts like the library, dirty closet, living room and commentary on each room. An alagory about our reaction to God in each of these rooms. Don’t know who wrote it but would sure like to find it again.
