Getting to Brazil… again

June 30, 2009 By Seth Leave a Comment

So far everything looks good for our new flight to Brazil.  We will be leaving at 3:40 this afternoon via American Airlines and will land in Miami, Florida.  We leave Miami around 9:00 tonight and arrive in Recife tomorrow morning at 9:00.  Please continue to pray that our flights will be on time and that we will have safe travels.  I will post ... Grounded…

June 30, 2009 By Seth Leave a Comment

Well, we were sitting on the plane, waiting to go to Atlanta, and there was a mechanical problem.  So we're stuck in Indianapolis for the night.  Delta was able to rebook us on an American Airlines flight tomorrow that will get us to Recife, Brazil on Thursday morning.  Thanks for your prayers, and we'll keep you all posted regarding the ... Legacy

June 5, 2009 By Seth Leave a Comment

This summer is off to a fast start!  We just returned yesterday from our annual High School Retreat.  This year we traveled to Beulah Beach Christian Camp and Retreat Center in Vermilion, Ohio.  I think this was the best HS Retreat we have ever had.  The theme, "Free Fall," tied well into the sessions, and we started the week off at Cedar ... 500 Posts, and still posting…

May 4, 2009 By Seth Leave a Comment

Hey there, world!  You might wonder where I've been for the last few months.  Honestly, I didn't realize that it had been so long since I had updated here.  My life has been really hectic with lots of things going on.  I'm going to try to do a better job to post a little more regularly, but let me sum up the last two months: We have a ... What we place our hope in

February 1, 2009 By Seth 1 Comment

I just saw a disappointing article online about Michael Phelps' marijuana use. I'm sure he's regretting his choice now as hind sight is always 20/20. It serves as a reminder to me that we're not supposed to put our trust in anything other than Jesus Christ because all other things will eventually let us down, whether it's money, a sports hero, or even ... The 21C Museum Hotel

December 21, 2008 By Seth Leave a Comment

As I mentioned in the last post, I surprised Kari this evening by making a stop to the 21C Museum Hotel in Louisville, KY.  It's certainly a unique place.  We gave ourselves a tour of the museum part of the hotel a little bit ago and found some very interesting artwork.  I thought it was worthwhile to share a few pictures here that I took with my ... Holiday Cheer

December 12, 2008 By Seth Leave a Comment

I spent lots of time doing shopping today, and I was pleasantly surprised by the number of truly friendly store employees that I ran into. It's amazing how an employee's positive attitude can really affect my shopping experience at a store. My guess is that a similar positive attitude has the same effect on people who come to our church. ... [Continue Reading]

Say ” thanks ” to our troops

December 8, 2008 By Seth Leave a Comment

Ever since I was a kid I was taught by my parents to show my appreciation to the troops who serve our country.  Now there's a really easy way for all of us to show our apprecation.  Following this link (www.letssaythanks.com), and send a card.  It doesn't cost a thing, and it is a legitimate site from all that I can tell. ...
